The third session of the Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and
Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM-3) and the Gender Conference will
be held at the Bali International Convention Center
(BICC), the Westin Resort Nusa Dua in Bali (Indonesia) from 4 to 9 March 2024, as a face-to-face meeting with the
possibility of online participation.
The scope of SERCOM-3 is to bring together technical experts from all around the
world and to facilitate their collaboration in developing standards for methods, procedures,
techniques and practices, and to ensure that their recommendations are provided to the WMO
Congress and Executive Council. The Gender Conference, planned to be held on 7 March 2024,
is aiming to share knowledge and facilitate exchanges on promoting Gender Equality and
Women’s Empowerment and Leadership through the Early Warnings for All initiative.

Important for participants attending in person : The 2024 period of complete silence on Bali will begin on Monday, March 11 at 6 a.m. and last through Tuesday, March 12 at the same hour.
